CHANGING LIVES WITH THE LOVE OF JESUS CHRIST

Children's Ministry is one of the commissions established in December 2004 under the Fellowship Word of Life Church (FWLC). FWLC works through groups of churches and organizations and denominations, many of whom have children's ministries.

Children's Homes
Children at this dump in Cambodia comb through the trash with picks, hoping to find recyclable goods they can sell. It is the site of one of our newest feeding programs.
Care for a Child
In addition to providing home-cooked meals and a clean and safe environment, these homes also serve to meet the children's spiritual needs. As in every area of ministry, the teaching of God's Word and prayer are both emphasized. In the arms of God, these children learn that they are not outcasts or burdens to society—they are priceless treasures! It costs $30 a month to house, feed and educate a child.
“We believe our work would all be worth it just to save one child,” says Ps.Vanna. “But the truth is, with the help of our friends and partners, we are rescuing hundreds of precious lives that will be transformed both now and for eternity…and we could never thank them enough.”

Giving Children New Life
And so it is for many all across Asia who now have hope. The support you have sent to us has reached around the world and into the hearts of boys and girls. And today they are healthy children, loved children…your children. Friends and partners, thank you for all that you have done to breathe new life and new hope into such desperate situations. Together, with your help, we are reaching Asia one precious child at a time.
" In Phnom Penh, Cambodia, hundreds of children live and work at the Steung Mean Chey garbage dump. They comb through the trash, hoping to make 50 cents a day from recyclable goods. Many have been sent by their parents to help support the family. Others are orphans just struggling to get by. The smell is unbearable, and sickness and disease are rampant.
we are reaching these children with the love of God…and showing them the world has not forgotten them."
More than 10 leaders work to create an atmosphere for the children to meet God in worship. We teach the children the Word of God through songs, games, crafts, creative dramas, Bible stories, memory verses, and puppet shows. Children then have the opportunity to build relationships and fellowship by forming into small groups of 10-12 where they pray and learn together.
This is a very high energy time where the children remain engaged and are learning to love the Word of the Lord. Many children come to Children’s Church faithfully; they remember the stories and often will be found singing the songs outside of church. They are growing spiritually; they are learning to pray and even give offerings. We are very pleased to see several of our older students stepping into positions of leadership and helping to facilitate Children’s Church.

This class focuses on discipleship, leadership, and helping the students deal with the issues they are beginning to encounter like drug use, peer pressure, gambling and violence.
Pre-School: This ministry was born out of a need to give toddlers an opportunity to begin their learning about the Lord in a safe and age-appropriate environment. Our Khmer nursery volunteers are dedicated to teaching these children about their Father’s love for them through relational play, Bible stories and songs.
